FACL Western and the Alberta Chapter of the Canadian Muslim Lawyers Association (“CMLA”) are pleased to announce and partner on our inaugural Racialized Women in Leadership Event.
Beginning with virtual greetings by the Honourable Lieutenant Governor Salma Lakhani, Lillian Pan K.C. will be moderating an in-person panel discussion, with panelists Saliha Haq and Josephine Pon on the following topics:
Their lived experience as racialized women in leadership positions;
The barriers faced on the pathway to leadership and while in leadership roles; and
Strategies to overcome barriers and recommendations for systemic change
The event will be on March 17, 2023 at 6:30pm (registration begins 6pm) in the Dentons Calgary Office
We look forward to spending the evening discussing barriers faced by racialized women on the path to leadership and while in their leadership roles, as well as strategies for success, followed by networking in an intimate setting to build lasting and meaningful connections.
FACL Western and CMLA Alberta extend their warmest gratitude to Dentons Canada LLP for hosting this event at their Calgary office.
